Primary duties include performing intermediate skilled trades work, coordinate the disposal of waste, purchasing functions, operate and maintain the transfer station and its equipment, assigns tasks and related work. Skill in vehicle and heavy equipment operation, including forklift, front-end loader, sweeper, tractor and pressure washer. Skill in repairing, servicing/maintaining mechanical equipment. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED in and up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school, or related field and minimal experience in mechanical repair or maintenance and disposal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a valid commercial driver’s license with Class A endorsement. Must be able to obtain the following license/certifications: Transfer Station Operators Certification, Hazardous Waste Categorizing Certification, Landfill Operators Licensure, and OSHA Safety Training.
