Community Christmas Food Baskets

The Community Christmas Food Basket Committee is offering individuals and families in need a Hugo’s gift card to purchase food items this holiday season. Now through today, call 218-289-7796 between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to register for a gift card. One gift card per family and address will be provided and mailed out before Christmas.

Crookston Home Delivered Meals

Home Delivered Meals this week are being delivered by Bible Baptist Church members and the Knights of Columbus.

Crookston Eagles Club

The Crookston Eagles will have bar bingo at 6:30 p.m. tonight. There will be a progressive jackpot and the kitchen will be serving baskets.

The Golden Link Cookie Sale will be Saturday, December 13, at 9:00 a.m. Cookies are $8 a dozen, with a wide variety to choose from.

Crookston Public Library

Join the Crookston Public Library for a Felt Ornament Workshop on Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 am, and learn how to craft a felt ornament to take home.  Pick from several patterns or create your own and enjoy a warm drink from their hot cocoa bar.

Crookston Eagles Club

The Crookston Eagles will have bar bingo at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. $400 must go.

Crookston City Council

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The Crookston Ways and Means Committee will meet after the council meeting.

The Crookston Eagles Club will have $8 burger baskets Monday from 5:30 to 7:00.

Crookston Public Library

The Crookston Public Library Learning Lab for ages 5 through 13 will be on Monday, December 15, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This month’s topic is circuits. This is a come-and-go event at your convenience, featuring activities and games that allow you to learn about circuits in a fun and engaging way. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend with the children as it will require reading and following directions.

ECFE Daddy and Me event

The Early Childhood Family Education Daddy and Me event will be on Monday, December 15, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Washington School. This is a night for dad and their little buddies that will be filled with activities, games, and fun-filled gym time. Register by calling 281-2762 or email brendacrane@isd593.org

Wesley United Methodist Church

Wesley United Methodist Church invites you to the Blue Christmas Service on Monday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church. This is a service of quiet reflection upon God’s love amidst loss, pain, worry and the busyness of life. Refreshments will follow the service and free grief resources will be available for all who attend.

Golden Link Alzheimer’s Caregiving

Alzheimer Caregiving, Part 1 of 5, will be on Tuesday, December 16, at 9:30 a.m. at the Golden Link. Alicia Berhow from Tri-Valley will be the presenter. Parts 2 to 5 will be on Tuesdays in January.

Fin and Fit Pasta Bar fundraiser

Fin & Fit’s second Annual Holiday Fundraiser Pasta Bar Meal, Huge Bake Sale, Gift Basket, and Miscellaneous Sale on Friday, December 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church dining room. Tickets are $15 and a free will donation for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased at Matt’s True Value, TLC Family Hair Care, and from any Fin & Fit committee member. Proceed go to water filters for the Crookston Community pool.

Crookston Home Delivered Meals

The Crookston Police and Reserves will deliver Crookston Home Delivered Meals December 22-24, and 26. The Crookston Home Delivered Meals will be delivered on Christmas by the Home Delivered Meals board.

Crookston Public Library

Join the Crookston Public Library for a special Holiday Pajama Storytime on Friday, December 26 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Children are invited to wear their pajamas, listen to stories, do a candy cane craft and play games.

Crookston Home Delivered Meals

The Crookston Firefighters will deliver Crookston Home Delivered Meals December 29-31, and January 2. The Crookston Home Delivered Meals board will deliver meals on January 1, 2026.

Crookston Public Library

The Crookston Public Library will have a Noon News Year’s Eve Party on Wednesday, December 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This program is geared for ages 5 to 10, but all are welcome to join the Noon Year’s Eve celebration, including crafts, activities, and a balloon drop at noon.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Parents of children are invited to register their children for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The program provides one book every month to your child for FREE from when you enroll until they turn five. Crookston Public School manages the program, and you can register at ImaginationLibrary.com.

Crookston Public Library – New Born Baby Talk

Every Tuesday (except for Federal Holidays), The Crookston Public Library will host New Born Baby Talk from 9:30 am. to 11:00 a.m. This is for parents with babies 0-12 weeks old. A public health nurse, parent educator, and lactation specialist will be available to answer questions about your newborn and provide support and information on your new journey of parenting.

Crookston Public Library – Books & Brews Book Club Meeting

The Crookston Public Library’s Books & Brews Book Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every other month at 6:00 p.m. at Drafts Sports Bar and Grill. They will discuss books and enjoy beverages. Appetizers are provided by the Friends of the Crookston Public Library; participants are responsible for the cost of their food and drinks. All are welcome.

The Cove Youth Center in Crookston is open Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Students and parents should call ahead to check the youth center’s availability at 218-470-0149.
