All 7th-9th graders at Crookston School return to in-person learning every day beginning today. Only 10th-12th grade Blue day students will be in attendance.

The Red Lake Electric Cooperative will hold their District Member meetings today and tomorrow.  District 2  will meet at 1:30 on Monday February 1st at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt. District 7 will meet Monday, February 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Oak Park Lutheran Church in Oklee and District 8 will meet  7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2 at St. John Lutheran School  in Thief River Falls. Meetings will consist of electing a director candidate, presentations of various topics, door prize drawings and refreshments. For special accommodations, please contact the office in advance. The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, February 2 at 8 a.m. at the Polk County Transfer Station.

The CHEDA Board will have special meetings Tuesday, February 2 and Wednesday February 3 at a.m. 11 a.m. to review Polk County Resiliency Grant applications.  A quorum of the CHEDA Board is anticipated to be present.

RiverView Health will host a four-hour First Aid Course from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4 at the RiverView Home Care building, 721 South Minnesota Street, Crookston. Crookston High School has gone to a set weekly schedule unless disrupted by a day off. Each Monday and Thursday is a blue day, Tuesdays and Fridays are Gold Days and Wednesdays are Distance learning for all. 

ECFE Full Steam Ahead virtual class for ages birth through Kindergarten entrance is offered once a week. Each week you will be able to listen to a book, sing songs, and do an activity focused on steam.  The class is prerecorded and available for you to access at your convenience. The Cove Youth Center in Crookston will be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30-6:30 p.m. for 7th-8th graders, and from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for 9th-12th graders. The facility is currently limited to 14 students at one time due to COVID-19. Students and parents should call ahead to check availability of the youth center at 218-470-0149.

Hugo’s Family Marketplace is offering shopping for seniors and people with illnesses from 6-7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 8-9 a.m. Saturdays, and Sundays during the COVID-19 pandemic.
