CITY OF FISHER URGING CAUTION FOR HOMEOWNERS, BUSINESSES AFTER REPORTS OF ATTEMPTED BREAK-INS

The City of Fisher is urging caution to residents and business owners after receiving several complaints about attempted break-ins and other activity.  There have been attempted break-ins at a couple homes and businesses throughout the town along with reports of water spigots being turned on and left to run said City Clerk & Treasurer Stacy Wallace.  “We had a few reports of attempted break-ins and water spigots being turned on,” said Wallace. “They are randomly throughout the town, not one specific area. Our Chief of Police is aware of it and so is the county.”

Wallace suggested checking to make sure things are locked and calling if the city office if an attempted break-in is suspected. “Lock everything up at night, check things in the morning, and if you suspect something is going on call the city office right away,” said Wallace. “If it’s at an odd hour or if it’s an emergency they can call 218-443-1551 as well.”

The number for the city office is 218-891-2207 and the after-hours and emergency number is 218-443-1551.
