SEMI DRIVER DIES OF MEDICAL ISSUE, NEARLY COLLIDES WITH SCHOOL BUS

On Friday, May 3 at approximately 3:25 p.m. the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a semi that had gone off the road into the ditch after nearly hitting a school bus near the intersection of county road 67 and county road 20 in Farley township.  The driver of the 2005 Freightliner semi was identified as 64-year-old Lawrence Haddaway from Daytona Beach Florida.  Lawrence appeared to have suffered a medical emergency while driving the semi which caused it to veer off road.  Lawrence was transported to the Warren Hospital where he was pronounced deceased due to the apparent underlying medical issue.  The driver of the school bus was identified as Francis Kuznia from Warren.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Warren Fire Department and the Warren Ambulance Service.
