Nick Nicholas has
lived in Crookston, Minnesota for over 19 years. During this time he has served
on various boards including: Villa St. Vincent (6 years), United Way (6 years)
and the District 593 School Board for ten years. Nick is passionate about
serving the needs of others and helping communities grow. He is respected for
his leadership in finance and in reforming policies to best serve the needs of
those in the community. One of Nick’s top priorities is to protect Polk County
families. His focus is on enhancing programs that increase growth while staying
fiscally responsible. Nick will prioritize economic prosperity by working to
bring jobs and new industry while building on assets the county already has. He
will; support good government principles which include being fiscally
responsible, work hard to reform policies that best serve the needs of the
county, strive to increase safety in communities and hold the line on taxes. He
will make it a priority to protect the neighborhoods with cooperative public
safety partnerships between cities and the county to save money without
sacrificing services.
Nick raised four children (Travis, Lauralee, Michael, and Benjamin) in
Crookston, MN and understands the importance of keeping growth and prosperity in
smaller communities and how important learning and safety is for the children of
these communities.
Nick has worked hard at the positions he has served on and he will continue to
strive for excellence with the team of county representatives to best serve the
