OX CART DAYS MEDALLION FOUND IN SCHUSTER PARK BY PIRATE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

The 2011 Ox Cart Days Medallion was found Tuesday morning by five Crookston Pirate Volleyball players while on their lunch break.  Sydney Boike, McKaylee Klamm, Emma Dufault, Erica Samuelson and Kaylee Desrosier found the medallion in Schuster Park in a crack in the tennis courts.  The five made their first stop by the KROX studios and then went to the Crookston Chamber office to receive the 200 dollar cash prize and are pictured below.

OX CART DAYS WEEK OFFICIALLY STARTS WITH MEDALLION HUNT

The Medallion Hunt begins Wednesday, August 17 as the first of the daily clues will be offered on KROX Radio and online at 10:40 a.m., right before the Valley Talk program on KROX RADIO.  The clues will also be in the Crookston Daily Times.

Searchers for the medallion are asked to follow the guidelines below while looking for the medallion.
1. The Ox Cart Days Medallion is engraved, clearly indicating it as the 2011 Medallion.
2. The medallion is hidden above ground meaning no digging is required.
3. Be respectful of the places you are searching.  Do not trespass and avoid trampling flowers and shrubs.
4. Searchers should read and listen carefully for the clues as given through the media
5. If you find the medallion, turn it into to Crookston Chamber office on 2nd Street for the 200 dollar cash prize.

Have fun and remember the theme "Proud of the Past, Poised for the future" while you are searching for the 2011 Ox Cart Days medallion.
